The AHSA should be congratulated on not only taking a stand against inappropriate behaviour to horses in our show rings but actually changing the rules so that the people that commit these offences can now be appropriately dealt with at the time the abuse is witnessed, especially at our National show. These changes take effect for the 2008 Australian Championships. We hope that these changes are taken up by all future Australian show organizing committees and we can eliminate this sort of conduct from our industry for once and for all.
